As Neural Ninja did his hacking, Doc, Kimiko, and Huey Lewis pretended to be on Nova Timbuk for other purposes. Doc got into an academic lecture on psychosurgery (which he found to be boring because he knew it all already), while Kimiko and Huey Lewis hung out in a park. At Neural Ninja's signal, they began to approach the target, a Cognite office building. Approaching the building, however, they encountered some security forces setting up a roadblock. Doc was able to sneak past, while Kimiko and Huey Lewis bluffed their way through, pretending that Huey Lewis was an inpatient hypercorp exec who needed to get to a meeting despite the security situation.
Once inside the security cordon, they approached the office building. However, another obstacle presented itself: the Cognite office building was about to be the target of an assault by a tactical team. Figuring they might soon be in a firefight, Huey swallowed a dose of MRDR. They debated for awhile what to do, but finally we decided to have Huey and Kimiko bluff their way past the inner cordon: Huey presented himself as an Oversight agent, and demanded that the tactical team lead delay his assault. After some cajoling, the tactical team lead relented, letting them go in, but informing them that he would only delay his raid by five minutes. Doc, meanwhile, went out onto a rooftop to act as support/a lookout.
Kimiko and Huey Lewis made their way through the office hallways, finally coming to Danny Jim's doorway. Opening it up, Huey saw Danny Jim at his desk, awaiting them. Danny Jim invited them to come in, and foolish expecting that he'd want to talk, Huey walked on in. To be tackled by one of Danny Jim's bodyguards. A second bodyguard jumped out of the corner at Kimiko, but she was able to dodge out of the way.
Luckily, however, we were able to quickly dispatch the two body guards. Huey Lewis ended up shocking one bodyguard twice using eelware augmentation, while Kimiko shot the other guard, grievously wounding him. Seeing that his two guards were dropped, Danny Jim facepalmed before triggering a mesh panic button. Huey then ran up to Danny Jim, and smacked him a few times with the eelware before Jim went unconscious.
The tactical team at this point was about to begin their assault, but Doc, from his hiding spot, was able to cook off some of their flashbang grenades using his laser, giving the team a few more moments. We debated what to do (considered popping Danny Jim's cortical stack, but neither Kimiko nor Huey Lewis had a knife). Meanwhile, we got a transmission from Neural Ninja that he had accessed the offline server, and that he was beaming all the pertinent info to the rest of the team over VPN.
So Kimiko and Huey Lewis started hauling Danny Jim through the hallways as the tactical team began their assault. Doc, meanwhile, got off the roof, and hoped to soon rendezvous with Huey and Kimiko. Huey and Kimiko, however, were met by the tactical team. They tried to convince the tactical team to let them through, but the leader ordered Huey and Kimiko to get on the ground. Huey and Kimiko complied, but when the tactical team came to cuff them, Huey and Kimiko attacked. Huey his one of the tactical team with his eelware, while Kimiko took a shot at the team leader, giving him a minor wound. The tactical team returned fire, badly wounding both Kimiko (who fell unconscious) and Huey. Huey then ducked around the corner, fleeing down another hallway.
