On Mitre, we were separated and questioned by Argonaut investigators. Most of us simply did not volunteer any information, except for Markus and Crow, who were taken aside for further questioning. Markus kept quiet from that point. Crow, however, squaked. He divulged nearly everything in an edited XP feed via his mneumonic aug. He also insinuated that Azif had something to do with the pirate raid on Angels One. He did, however, omit parts of the story that made he himself look bad. Based on Crow's story, the Argonauts dutifully broadcast an editorial on the whole incident over Radio Argosy. At this point, we were definitely "persons of interest" with regard to the destruction of Angels One.

Mr. Chan contacted us, quite angry about the whole situation, demanding to meet the party in person. He agreed to meet us in a module in Mitre. We were fairly nervous about meeting Mr. Chan, worried he might simply kill us for the failure. Azif took a dose of MRDR in anticipation of possible violence--he ended up liking the drug very much, gaining Moderate Addiciton. Chan took a shuttle up from Luna with two henchmen sleeved into bouncers, and we all assembled in the sequestered compartment to talk.

It turned out Chan, although quite angry, did not intend to kill us. Azif tried to talk Chan down somewhat: when Chan insinuated that the party was responsible for the destruction of Angels One, Azif claimed that the pirate raid from Fresh Kills was called in by Rajesh. Although Chan's anger was assuaged slightly, he still made it clear that our job was not done: he demanded that will still track down Rajesh and his accomplices.

We spoke with Mr. Chan some more, getting some important information: Chan suspected that Rajesh was an Omnicorp plant (Angels One turned out to be owned by the rival hyercorp "Starware"). Furthermore, Chan suspected that Rajesh and his accomplices were likely to take a scum swarm to Mars, in an attempt to avoid the security/customs at most egocasting nodes.

So, for the next three days, we prepared to rendezvous with the scum swarm, "God's Pearl Necklace".
