With that information, and seeming to lack many other options, we began to prepare for our assault against the two remaining, Rajesh (Di Xuen) and
After a few hours of prep, we leapt over to the "Yolanda". At the same time (coincidentally?) a major disaster occured: a LaFrance rig in the swarm did an erratic manuever which sheared its living quarters, ejecting thousands of people into space. So all of Yolanda's drones immediately exited. A few came our way. Joe Corso panicked for a moment, worrying they were coming to shoot us down, but we realized they, in fact, were piloting by dumb bots which interpreted us as people in need of resue.
So the bots hauled us right into Yolanda's hold. Now on board, Grace simply logged onto the local mesh to continue her hacking, while Joe Corso, Atrimedes, and Azif/Babou readied their weapons and headed to confront Rajesh and Ndidi. We experienced some counter-hacking as we headed to the area by the reactor where our targets were holed up; however, besides ejecting Joe's smartgun mag, they were not able to accomplish much. Yolanda directly PMed Grace at this time, telling her "I can't let you settle your vendetta here." Grace relayed this message to the rest of the party. When Azif/Babou accused Yolanda of harboring criminals, Yolanda simply replied, "Darling is hostage".
The party was entering the penultimate room (before the one with Rajesh and Candy) when the emergency door unexpectedly closed, nearly chopping Azif/Babou in half, and cutting of Grace from the rest of the party (at least physically, though there was still mesh access). At the same time, fire suppression protocols were triggered, opening both airlock doors in the penultimate room. The trio in that room, however, were able to brace themselves and not get vented.
The door between the penultimate and ultimate rooms opened, and the firefight started up. Azif/Babou got a burst off against Rajesh/Di, maiming him. Then, Ndidi/Candy launches a salvo of rockets into the party, hurting them all pretty bad. Azif, but Joe Corso and Atrimedes remained to shoot back. On the infosec side, Grace detected a massive information transfer from Yolanda to the "NA". She realized egoes were being broadcast, so, worrying that a fork of Rajesh might be among them, she put a stop to that.
With the party having taken a big hit in just a few seconds, Joe Corso readied his big gun: he drew his antigue plasma gun, and began to fry Candy. He kept the trigger depressed, slagging the majority of the flexbot modules. But, it was too much for the old gun to take: it exploded.
Only Grace and Atrimedes remained up at this point. Atrimedes noticed a tell-tale shimmer coming off of the Candy that remained: nanoswarms were approaching. They attacked Atrimides, so he fled into a med vat.
Grace finally enetered the battle scene, and stacked Rajesh.
